In choosing Perfect Contours, our partner clinic and surgeons, you can be sure that you have made the right choice. We do our best to make your trip and surgery hassle free and worthwhile.

How to arrange your plastic and cosmetic surgery

1.	Before coming here we askyou to have a check-up with your GP to make sure everything is OK with you medically and you are fit to undergo surgery. For larger surgeries (abdominoplasty) we suggest you have the blood test, a blood pressure-check and an ECG at home and bring the results with you. We also need to see photographs of the areas considered for surgery.
2.	Once you have a date in mind for your surgery we will check availability and pencil in a date for you. To confirm this date you need to book your flight and send us the booking confirmation. Once we have received the confirmation your appointment will become a firm booking.
3.	Before booking the appointment you will need to fill in our Medical Questionnaire online, read the Terms & Conditions and submit them.
4.	You will receive written confirmation of appointments.
5.	The administration fee of  EUR 200 will have to be paid once you are in Budapest. The actual costs of the surgery will have to be paid at the clinic on the day of the surgery in cash (EUR, HUF) or by credit card (MasterCard or Visa). Debit cards are not accepted.
6.	Should it become clear during your consultation that you are not eligible for surgery due to previously undisclosed medical reasons or unforseen problems, no refund of your travel and accommodation expenses will be paid. In this case the administration fee still applies.
7.	If your surgery requires a full anaesthetic, you will spend one or two nights at the clinic. If not, you will be taken back to your hotel or apartment a few hours after the surgery.
8.	During your stay in Budapest Perfect Contours will be more than happy to arrange theatre, sightseeing etc. There are several cinema complexes showing the latest films in English and cable television has a number of English language programmes. There are apartments and several hotels listed on this website under 'Travel & Accommodation'. We provide free transport from only the innercity apartments and hotels to the clinic. However, you should be aware that if choose to stay outside the town centre, transportation to and from the clinic will be at your own cost (transportation will be arranged by our office as we receive discounted rates from our taxi company). Due to ongoing major road works, traffic has increased considerably in Budapest within the past year. Please let us know which hotel you have chosen in order for us to make the appropriate arrangements.

Plastic surgery - How it works

2.	Fill in a medical sheet and return it to us. You will receive all necessary information and a quotation for your surgery. We will ask you to send us photos of the area(s) you consider for surgery.
3.	Upon agreeing on a date, you will be pencilled in for surgery. Book your flight and send us the flight confirmation via e-mail.
4.	You will then receive a confirmation for the appointment together with all details and logistics of your surgery and stay.
5.	The administration fee has to be paid  once you are in Budapest.
6.	You will have to book your flight yourself but we will be happy to book your hotel or apartment here as we have special rates with the listed hotels. We arrange for your free taxi transfer to and from the airport.
7.	Once you have arrived your contact from the Perfect Contours team will contact you by telephone at the hotel and discuss the details of your pick-up in the morning of the surgery.
8.	The consultation with your surgeon will most probably take place in the morning of your surgery, unless you are here the day before. You will of course be taken to your consultation. If you did not bring your test results, the  tests are performed in the morning as well. We can only ensure an early operation if you arrive with test results, which are not older than 10 days.
9.	The surgery fee will have to be paid at the clinic after the consultation but before the surgery. This usually takes place in cash (Euros or HUF) or credit card (Mastercard, Visa) as international are expensive and can take up to several days. Debit cards are not accepted. In the event that the patient can only pay by transfer this will have to be arranged in advance. Please note that an international transfer can take up to six working days.

Arrival - Budapest has only one airport called 'Ferenc Liszt Airport' and patients arrive either at Terminal 1 or 2. A hostess will wait for you at the arrivals area with your name on a board and take you to your taxi. The driver will know your destination and takes you to your accommodation. Airport transfer is complimentary. Most patients arrive in Budapest the evening before surgery and spend the first night in their hotel or apartment. You can have a late dinner but you should not eat or drink anything after midnight.

Surgery day - A driver will pick you up early morning and take you to the clinic. Please remember to bring your passport for administrative purposes. You will be settled into your room and meet your surgeon for your consultation. The surgeon will take you through the procedure, your expectations and answer and queries or questions you may have. The anesthetist will also visit you and discuss your medical questionnaire with you. He will ask you about previous surgeries, medication you may take and medical conditions. You will receive various paperwork that needs to be signed by you:

Upon arrival at the clinic you will have your pre op tests, followed by the consultation with your surgeon. After your consultation but before surgery you will be asked to pay for the surgery in full, either by cash or credit card. Once the test results have come through you will be taken into surgery.

Depending upon the surgery, you could spend up to two nights at the clinic. You will be checked regularly by nurses throughout the day and night and your surgeon will check on you daily. Before you are discharged the surgeon will give you a thorough check-up and after you are discharged you will be picked up and taken back to your accommodation. The clinic will provide you with adequate medication (pain relief, antibiotics if necessary and in some cases anti thrombosis medication). You will be taken for several check-ups with your surgeon before you fly back home. For most surgeries absorbable stitches are used and there is no need for stitch removal. For surgeries where non-absorbable stitches are used you will be advised when to visit your GP for stitch removal. A Perfect Contours representative will be on hand throughout your stay in Budapest. During your final check-up the surgeon will give you your discharge papers in English. Depending on the type of surgery you had you might be required to wear compression garments for 4-6 weeks after surgery. It is very important you follow the surgeon's instructions on aftercare once you return home.

On the day of your departure you will be taken to the airport (you should allow a minimum of 2 hours at the airport for check-in, security, etc.)
