There are many muscles in the face therefore it takes an extremely skilled surgeon to lift the face as effectively as possible. A patient usually chooses a facelift when in the course of the aging process, excess skin becomes visible or through the sagging of tissue, deeper wrinkles start to be apparent. These symptoms are usually found in the forehead and neck area. Cheek and neck areas are normally lifted at the same time.
With the full face lift including neck tightening the initial incision is made in the temporal hairline and continued down in front of, around and posterior to the ear and is usually not visible. With the mini face lift there are no incisions in the hairline.
Each surgery carries its own type of risk and for further detailed information please contact us.
Facts and Questions - Facelift/Neck lift Surgery
Q: What are the risks or complications with face lift surgery?
