In Budapest there are many sites that a worth looking at such as the castle district, the river and more, here is a list of the most popular sites:
The Szechenyi Chain Bridge (lánchíd)
Designed by an Englishman and built by a Scot, Adam Clark. The Szechenyi Lanchid was the first permanent link between Buda and Pest, it opened in 1849. As well as being the most beautiful of all the bridges across the Danube, it is the city’s most important symbol and is represented on many souvenirs. It is the most visited site in all of Budapest and definitely worth seeing.
The Castle District (Várhegy)
Buda’s most famous site, it allows you to see the old town of Budapest. In this district one can visit the palace, the famous Matyás Church, museums and beautiful squares. The streets haven’t changed since the Middle Ages; the buildings are a mixture of gothic and baroque architecture. It is a unique attraction; it has an amazing view of both Buda and Pest.
Parliament (Országház)
The Parliament was built between 1884 and 1902; the design was based on the Houses of Parliament in London. It is both the countries largest and most beautiful building, it is an unbelievably beautiful gothic building. One of the most popular activities is taking a tour on a boat through Budapest; on these tours the tour guides speak English fluently.
